TESTIMONIAL

Canterbury summer camp was a life changing experience for me as it made me realise my potential and enhanced my ability to interact well with others while working as a team. I was one of the Pioneer campers in 2014 and became the president of the camp in the same year. I attended subsequent camps from 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2019, entrusted with leadership roles which I really enjoyed. It also gave me a rare experience of developing my critical thinking skills, oratory skills and creative skills which are crucial to my current role at Ocado Group UK.

My experience at the Canterbury Summer Camp in 2015 and 2016 helped shape my mind towards entrepreneurship. My name is Jude Ekeh, a lawyer and the founder of the Empowered African Youths Foundation. I currently reside in Texas, USA, where I work as a paralegal for a real-estate firm. I have a master's degree in international business, and I am currently pursuing a dual degree in project management. During the camp, I was exposed to the power of networking, essential business knowledge, investing, and team leadership. It created a lasting impression on me, and helped me find my passion in entrepreneurship. I am grateful for the experience.

I have attended two Canterbury Summer Camps consecutively. Being a part of the summer camp has immensely developed me as a person. What makes Canterbury Summer Camp unique is its ability to merge fun and education together. I partook in various enlightening and interactive seminars on topics such as leadership, business, etiquette and self-awareness delivered by topnotch professionals of sterling character. I also learnt qualities of a good leader as well as Leadership skills, further more I developed my public speaking. If I were to go on and on, my pages would be endless. Not limited to this is the social the aspect of the camp. I made new friends and improved my human interaction. I learnt how to co-habit with fellow campers, work as a team and live in harmony. I engaged in various games, outings, competition and an evening formal dinner. I was opportune to exhibit my conflict resolution skills amongst fellow campers when needed. In essence, Canterbury summer camp is unsurpassed. The memories are indelible and I would recommend it to any youth.

Canterbury summer camp 2017 was really one of the defining and shape-shifting moments of my university education. It afforded me the opportunity to mix with an array of people who I still communicate with till date. Not only that, it nurtured my already existing and developed even more core leadership skills within me. A lot was learnt about efficient time management, being a leader, teamwork, conflict management amongst others. It truly was worth every minute of the summer I spent at Canterbury under the tutelage of Mr Kayode Fabunmi. A mentor per excellence! I'll definitely recommend Canterbury summer camp to anyone considering it. The skills you acquire there are a set that one truly needs to efficiently guide and navigate your career journey.
